After having played for 8 minutes, Teodoro Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguiavareira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Chorente FC's David Macedo in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aguiavareira's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Franco in the 14th minute of play forced Chorente FC's goalkeeper Rogério Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Aguiavareira's Geraldo Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogério Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chorente FC's Cláudio Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Sousa's late challenge caught a Chorente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. Joaquim Sousa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Cláudio Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Aguiavareira's goalkeeper Serafim Garcez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Magalhães. After some careless play in the Chorente FC defense, Santiago Franco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Vale. The Chorente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Vale should have stopped the shot. Serafim Garcez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio Magalhães in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Chorente FC's Joaquim Pacheco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serafim Garcez. Serafim Garcez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Serafim Garcez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Macedo in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Chorente FC booed when Aguiavareira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Rangel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Aguiavareira's Reginaldo Madruga got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cláudio Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes of play, Chorente FC's Cláudio Magalhães made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Garcez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th match minute, Chorente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Aguiavareira's Serafim Garcez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Magalhães in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Geraldo Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Chorente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Almeida came free, but Rogério Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chorente FC's David Macedo got a free kick in the 76th minute. Aguiavareira's Serafim Garcez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Macedo in the 79th minute of play. When Joaquim Sousa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. After 80 played minutes Aguiavareira got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Sousa. Cláudio Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Serafim Garcez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Chorente FC's Ricardo Ferreira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cláudio Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Garcez having to interfere. Santiago Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rogério Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chorente FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Aguiavareira for a fine match.
