Cláudio Magalhãess short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Jacinto Monteiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If David Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Armindo Faro fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Jungeiros's protests and gave Armindo Faro a yellow card for diving instead. Armindo Faro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Carvalho in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Vale saved Chorente FC from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Chorente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Carvalho came free, but Rogério Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Pacheco hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. SC Jungeiros's Afonso Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Joaquim Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Chorente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Carvalho came free, but Rogério Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chorente FC's Rogério Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Delfim Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Jungeiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Jungeiros's zone, Cláudio Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Monteiro came out of the goal and Cláudio Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If David Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Faro kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Delfim Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Vale having to interfere. Delfim Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delfim Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. After 49 minutes of play, SC Jungeiros's Delfim Borges made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when David Macedo made the kick off in the second half. Afonso Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Delfim Borges took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Rogério Vale to make any attempt to save it. Cláudio Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Chorente FC's David Macedo got a free kick in the 74th minute. Rogério Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Monteiro having to make a save. Afonso Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rogério Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Jungeiros. Rogério Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Borges in the 91st minute of play. Jacinto Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cláudio Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. David Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Monteiro having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Pacheco during the 100th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 101st minute, Joaquim Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Jungeiros had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
