Vítor Amaral's late challenge caught a Internazionale FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Internazionale FC booed when SC Palacoulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Lobato was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Delfim Carvalhais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Delfim Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damião Mascarenhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Domingues having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesualdo Taveira during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Internazionale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesualdo Taveira to maneuver through the defense. If António Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damião Mascarenhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bernardo Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Barbosa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes, Internazionale FC's Danilo Lobato shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardo Domingues came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Internazionale FC reached it. If Delfim Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damião Mascarenhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When João Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Internazionale FC's protests and gave João Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Internazionale FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. João Camargo hit a great ball. Gaspar Leão scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caio Mourato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damião Mascarenhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If António Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damião Mascarenhas to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, SC Palacoulo's Bernardo Domingues got control of the ball when Delfim Carvalhais tried to sneak it across the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, SC Palacoulo's goal looked a bit too open when Damião Mascarenhas came free, but Bernardo Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Internazionale FC's Damião Mascarenhas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Delfim Carvalhais notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of SC Palacoulo's Bernardo Domingues. Jesualdo Taveira got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 82nd minute, Jesualdo Taveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vítor Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Palacoulo fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when SC Palacoulo's António Pires looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Caio Mourato didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Palacoulo's Gaspar Leão shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-3 in the ordered_time% minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
