Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) AC DSI's Paulo Valente started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Nivaldo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teófilo Carvalhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC DSI's Paulo Valente came free and shot a quick shot against goal 8 minutes in the game, fortunately Valério Fragoso had problems saving as it came toward the left post. SC Junco's Valério Fragoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Anjos in the 9th minute of play. Mariano Garcia scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valério Fragoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of SC Junco booed when AC DSI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, SC Junco's Ilídio Barbosa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 16 minutes into the game, Nivaldo Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Junco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC DSI the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Junco's Nivaldo Neves got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute, AC DSI's Tiago Pinto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valério Fragoso. Valério Fragoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 26th minute, Teófilo Carvalhal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, SC Junco's Paulo Salgado got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Lisandro Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nivaldo Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, AC DSI's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Salgado came free, but Eusébio Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Salgado was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes in the game Ilídio Barbosa did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Paulo Salgado. SC Junco's Valério Fragoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Valente in the 61st minute of play. AC DSI's Paulo Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Pedro Anjos notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of SC Junco's Valério Fragoso. Valério Fragoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Paulo Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76thth minute of the game Pedro Anjos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Junco's Valério Fragoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teófilo Carvalhal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Eusébio Carneiro made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Paulo Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valério Fragoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Paulo Valente struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Valério Fragoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC DSI. After having played for 93 minutes, Paulo Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC DSI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
