Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alberto Castro kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Sanhoane booed when AD Marretas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Américo Baptista could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Laércio Camargo however easily saved by the left post. When Joaquim Reis fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sanhoane's protests and gave Joaquim Reis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Sanhoane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Reis to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Vale hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 20 minutes, Nuno Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sanhoane and the AD Marretas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute of the match Daniel Graça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Porto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Hélder Andrade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laércio Camargo skillfully saved the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Alberto Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD Marretas's Laércio Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. AD Marretas's Laércio Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Castro in the 29th minute of play. Laércio Camargo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Américo Baptista sent off a good shot on target. Laércio Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Castro in the 36th minute of the match. Alberto Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alberto Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. Laércio Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Américo Baptista's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Alberto Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD Marretas's Laércio Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Américo Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Américo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Castro in the 65th minute of play forced AD Marretas's goalkeeper Laércio Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Castro in the 71st minute of play. David Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Monteiro in the 73rd minute of play. Paulo Ferrazs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got David Porto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Porto made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Paulo Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. Humberto Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Porto having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in AD Marretas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Sanhoane. Adelino Coelho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laércio Camargo. 1-0. Paulo Ferraz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Porto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Sanhoane's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
