Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alberto Montenegro made the kick off and thus started the match. 8 minutes into the game, Hugo Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Canadelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Picota FC the free kick. Paulo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Pedroso in the 14th minute of the match. After 16 minutes of play, SC Canadelo's Pedro Pedroso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd match minute, SC Canadelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Alberto Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Hugo Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Canadelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Pedro Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Pedro Pedroso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Pinho was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 30 minutes, Samuel Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picota FC and the SC Canadelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Paulo Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Nuno Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Resende who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Duarte Leite when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Alberto Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Pedroso made a kick off. Alberto Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Duarte Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Canadelo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Mário Valente hit a great ball. Hugo Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Canadelo booed when Picota FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Noronha didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Pedroso in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Pinho saved Picota FC from getting behind. When SC Canadelo's Pedro Pedroso in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Picota FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 78 played minutes Picota FC got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Noronha. After having played for 81 minutes, Nuno Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Canadelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Pedroso in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to Picota FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Samuel Aguiar hit a great ball. João Resende struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Duarte Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picota FC. The SC Canadelo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
