Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Eliseu Severiano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Amadeu Esteves hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Vítor Dias hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. SC Macanedo's Nuno Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Severiano in the 7th minute of play. After 10 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Severiano. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Borba in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alípio Gama prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliseu Severiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Vital sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SL Benfica's Eliseu Severiano got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Macanedo's Nuno Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save SC Macanedo from getting a goal against them. Hélder Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alípio Gama having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SL Benfica's goalkeeper Alípio Gama, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, SC Macanedo's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Severiano came free, but Nuno Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alípio Gama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Veiga in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Veiga was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ricardo Vital managed to get in a good position for a shot. SL Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Vital was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alípio Gama was a little too slow when Hélder Veiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Macanedo's Hélder Veiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alípio Gama. That made the score 0-2 after 59 minutes of play. Ricardo Vital hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, SC Macanedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. With his leg Alípio Gama managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when SC Macanedo's Francisco Borba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Vital in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Macanedo's goalkeeper Nuno Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SL Benfica's Alípio Gama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Veiga in the 85th minute of play. Alípio Gama made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Francisco Borba sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Vital sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Borba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Alípio Gama made a huge save. Afonso Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alípio Gama having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Macanedo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
