The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adélio Branco in the 3rd minute of play forced Morenos F.C's goalkeeper Claudemiro Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adélio Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Claudemiro Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adélio Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudemiro Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porfírio Guterres, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Adelino Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Pedroso having to interfere. Paulo Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Adelino Amaro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Claudemiro Pedroso. Paulo Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Morenos F.C booed when Branca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adélio Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Adelino Amaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudemiro Pedroso was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Martinho Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martinho Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Amaro having to interfere.

A very good chance for a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Branca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Tinoco came free, but Américo Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th match minute, Morenos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Morenos F.C's Claudemiro Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adélio Branco in the 75th minute of play. Martinho Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Tinoco took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Américo Amaro. Américo Amaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Tinoco in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Amaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adélio Branco in the 93rd minute of play forced Morenos F.C's goalkeeper Claudemiro Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Amaro having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Branca FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
