Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Cruz started the match with the kick off. Sula FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Miguel Cruz 6 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Sula FC's Mário Paixão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bento Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luís Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Rúben Sacramento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sula FC and the SC Partida players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sula FC's Rúben Sacramento got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sula FC's zone, Luís Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Plácido Maltez came out of the goal and Luís Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bento Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubim Fidalgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mário Paixão took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bento Cardoso. Bento Cardoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 31 minutes into the game, Aprígio Regalado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sula FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Partida the free kick. A collision led to Sula FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aprígio Regalado hit a great ball. Mário Paixão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Cardoso having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Paixão in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bento Cardoso saved SC Partida from getting behind. When Mário Paixão came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sula FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Paixão couldn't finish the play. Rubim Fidalgo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubim Fidalgo in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Sula FC booed when SC Partida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Mário Paixão took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Bento Cardoso to make any attempt to save it. If Rubim Fidalgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Sula FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Partida.
