Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gataria FC's Alberto Faro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alberto Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gataria FC's Alberto Faro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 6th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Rui Lameiras charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Lameiras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Rui Lameiras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Adriano Queiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasco Moutinho got free with Adriano Queiroga in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Telmo Brochado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes, Hildeberto Portugal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pirraca and the Gataria FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes SC Pirraca got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Portugal. Vasco Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Brochado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Carlos Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Adriano Queiroga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Moutinho in the 59th minute of play. In the 67th minute Alberto Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Queiroga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gataria FC booed when SC Pirraca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vasco Moutinho in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Queiroga saved SC Pirraca from getting behind. Telmo Brochado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Cabral having to interfere. When Nuno Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gataria FC's protests and gave Nuno Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Nuno Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catarino Quinaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catarino Quinaz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Telmo Brochado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gataria FC's Carlos Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Brochado in the 95th minute of play. Carlos Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Catarino Quinaz in the 97th minute. Gataria FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Pirraca for a fine match.
