In the 5th minute Jorge Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes, Manuel Morais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NTeam and the SC Alheira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes NTeam got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Morais. Nicanor Acosta struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Paulo Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NTeam. 14 minutes into the match, Gil Costa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SC Alheira's Paulo Borba. Paulo Borba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inácio Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, NTeam's Gil Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Borba. Paulo Borba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Filipe Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Moura having to interfere. Paulo Borba acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlos Coelho. The audience was convinced that Gil Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Borba was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. SC Alheira's Paulo Borba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save SC Alheira from getting a goal against them. Gil Costa succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. A collision led to SC Alheira getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jorge Lima hit a great ball. After 47 minutes, Gil Costa made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Alheira's Paulo Borba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Costa was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Brito hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match, Filipe Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Inácio Moura saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulo Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Costa's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Gil Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Viriato Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Alheira's supporters rose to their feet, but Viriato Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Paulo Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NTeam. Carlos Araújo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Nicanor Acosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Costa in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Borba saved SC Alheira from getting behind. When Gil Costa came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the NTeam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Costa couldn't finish the play. After 95 played minutes NTeam got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Coelho. NTeam were furious when Alberto Azevedo was red carded, 98 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Alberto Azevedo hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match.
