Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. António Meireles started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, SC Bruco's António Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Moutinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Filipe Amaro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Bruco's Aldaír Estrela. Aldaír Estrela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Esquilas FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. André Moura hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, SC Bruco's Mário Carmo tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Esquilas FC's Armindo Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Meireles in the 25th minute of play. António Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Armindo Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Vieira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Mário Carmo from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Armindo Moutinho's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 31st match minute, Esquilas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Bruco's zone, Manuel Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldaír Estrela came out of the goal and Manuel Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Filipe Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldaír Estrela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Amaro in the 38th minute of the match. Vítor Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aldaír Estrela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filipe Amaro's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Filipe Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Souto in the 51st minute of play forced Esquilas FC's goalkeeper Armindo Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Aldaír Estrela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SC Bruco defense, Filipe Amaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aldaír Estrela. The SC Bruco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldaír Estrela should have stopped the shot. Esquilas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
