Inácio Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Moreira having to interfere. Inácio Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute of the match Afonso Amorim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mário Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Augusto Alves put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Augusto Vaz. In the 20th match minute, Rebolaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Mário Moreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Joel Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Vaz having to interfere. Vítor Viegas's late challenge caught a Rebolaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 28 minutes, Inácio Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Xertelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Inácio Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mário Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Borba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, SC Xertelo's Joaquim Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mário Moreira. Mário Moreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Xertelo!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Campos was the one to do the kick off. Inácio Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Moreira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rebolaria's Eduardo Coelho got a free kick in the 54th minute. A wasted opportunity for Rebolaria. 79 minutes into the match, Rebolaria's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Campos came free, but Mário Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rebolaria's Augusto Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
