Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Esteves ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th match minute, SC Sambrana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Agustin Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SL Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Pedroso couldn't finish the play. Miguel Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Milosz Jarek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Josué Telinhos made a huge save. Milosz Jarek might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Telinhos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milosz Jarek ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Agustin Pedroso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josué Telinhos was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Agustin Pedroso put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Josué Telinhos. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustin Pedroso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Josué Telinhos. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Ivo Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Milosz Jarek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Agustin Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SC Sambrana getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Humberto Monteiro hit a great ball. Agustin Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gervásio Pedroso made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Agustin Pedroso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SL Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Josué Telinhos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milosz Jarek in the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Godinho got free with Miguel Paredes in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milosz Jarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Telinhos having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Gervásio Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Milosz Jarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milosz Jarek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Telinhos having to make a save. 86 minutes into the game, Agustin Pedroso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Josué Telinhos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, SC Sambrana's Rodrigo Fernandes got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Jarek in the 91st minute of play forced SC Sambrana's goalkeeper Josué Telinhos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Fernandes during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Sambrana's Rodrigo Fernandes got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Agustin Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. SL Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Pedroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Telinhos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that SL Benfica were the better team. SL Benfica's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
