SC Ovoa's Alexandre Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Esteves in the 3rd minute of play. If Milosz Jarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ovoa's goalkeeper Alexandre Guerreiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, SL Benfica's Miguel Paredes got control of the ball when Paulo Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. SL Benfica's Miguel Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Fonseca in the 17th minute of play. When Paulo Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the SC Ovoa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Paulo Ribeiro succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 23 minutes, Agustin Pedroso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SL Benfica and the SC Ovoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. 25 minutes into the match, SL Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Fonseca came free, but Miguel Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Daniel Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milosz Jarek took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Guerreiro. Alexandre Guerreiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some careless play in the SC Ovoa defense, Agustin Pedroso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Guerreiro. The SC Ovoa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Guerreiro should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Milosz Jarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. SL Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Milosz Jarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Guerreiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Pedroso in the 46th minute of the match. Milosz Jarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Guerreiro having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agustin Pedroso to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ovoa's zone, Agustin Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Guerreiro came out of the goal and Agustin Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Esteves. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Ribeiro in the 61st minute of play forced SL Benfica's goalkeeper Miguel Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milosz Jarek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Guerreiro having to make a save. 66 minutes into the match, SC Ovoa's goalkeeper Alexandre Guerreiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milosz Jarek. Domingos Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Agustin Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Esteves. Miguel Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Gonçalves hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. A collision led to SL Benfica getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Manuel Gonçalves hit a great ball. Miguel Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Neves in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Paulo Ribeiro notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of SL Benfica's Miguel Paredes. Miguel Paredes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, SL Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Araújo came free, but Miguel Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lourenço Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Miguel Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Ovoa were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SL Benfica for a fine match.
