GD GOLÃES's Cristóvão Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quintino Bragança showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veríssimo Sobral, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Veríssimo Sobral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Quintino Bragança tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trofa FC's Quintino Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veríssimo Sobral in the 16th minute of play. Quintino Bragança made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veríssimo Sobral in the 18th minute of play. Cristóvão Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Quintino Bragança tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregório Nóbrega during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GD GOLÃES booed when Trofa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregório Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Cristóvão Quadros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trofa FC's Quintino Bragança was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Veríssimo Sobral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Quadros might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quintino Bragança. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Quadros ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quintino Bragança. Trofa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Veríssimo Sobral made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veríssimo Sobral in the 60th minute of play forced Trofa FC's goalkeeper Quintino Bragança to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GD GOLÃES's Veríssimo Sobral got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristóvão Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quintino Bragança made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Cristóvão Quadros sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Alexandre Amaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quintino Bragança was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. GD GOLÃES's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
