Marga FC's Frederico Eanes got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC Penso's zone, Frederico Eanes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Paredes came out of the goal and Frederico Eanes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eusébio Santarém came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SC Penso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Santarém couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute André Silva suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Rui Figueiras's late challenge caught a SC Penso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Figueiras helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Marga FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Figueiras. Sandro Trigueiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Santarém's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Diogo Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Penso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Santarém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandro Trigueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Almeida struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Sandro Trigueiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Penso. 52 minutes into the match, Joel Almeida notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Marga FC's Sandro Trigueiro. Sandro Trigueiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Marga FC's Sandro Trigueiro got control of the ball when Eusébio Santarém tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gualter Sabrosa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Sandro Trigueiro made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Eusébio Santarém sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Eanes in the 61st minute of play forced SC Penso's goalkeeper Hélder Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Frederico Eanes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 74th minute, Joel Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Sandro Trigueiro. Marga FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 82 minutes in the game, Eusébio Santarém fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sandro Trigueiro having to interfere. Frederico Eanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Paredes having to interfere. After 90 minutes, Alexandrino Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marga FC and the SC Penso players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Marga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandrino Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Eanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Marga FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Penso were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
