Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Pacheco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 played minutes SC Canicos got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Pinto. Delfim Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fabril fc getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ricardo Teixeira hit a great ball. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Xavier Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fabril fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Canicos the free kick. After 52 played minutes Fabril fc got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Luz. After 53 played minutes, SC Canicos's Ricardo Resende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vítor Paiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Canicos reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Ramos in the 54th minute of play forced Fabril fc's goalkeeper Vítor Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Fabril fc defense, Álvaro Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Paiva. The Fabril fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Paiva should have stopped the shot. Delfim Barros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joaquim Garcia. Delfim Barros didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 82nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After having played for 87 minutes, Filipe Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabril fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Gonçalo Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Paiva came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Canicos's Jorge Pinto. But to his dismay, Jorge Pinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 96th minute, Filipe Monteiro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
