The referee ignored Montinhos FC's protests and gave Adolfo Valverde a yellow card for diving instead. Jaime Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Fabrício Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Renato Sardinha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montinhos FC's Renato Sardinha got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Montinhos FC's zone, Jaime Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Tinoco came out of the goal and Jaime Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jaime Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Homero Antunes made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Renato Sardinha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Alves was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Renato Sardinha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Alves having to interfere. Heitor Lopes hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Montinhos FC's Renato Sardinha in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jaime Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Fabrício Tinoco made a huge save. In the 76thth minute of the game Homero Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ver's Nuno Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nuno Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Homero Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Jaime Borges came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ver fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Borges couldn't finish the play. Renato Sardinha struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Nuno Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montinhos FC. Nuno Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Sardinha in the 93rd minute of the match. Nuno Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Sardinha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montinhos FC had won after a very even match.
