The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Spartak Modelos's Basílio Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Pereira in the 11th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Gustavo Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Onia FC's Catarino Lisboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Catarino Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Soares in the 21st minute of the match. If Bernardo Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Gustavo Soares notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Onia FC's Catarino Lisboa. Catarino Lisboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 31 minutes into the match, Onia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Soares came free, but Catarino Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Onia FC's Catarino Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Martins in the 34th minute of play. Pedro Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Gomes having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, Onia FC's Bento Pereira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Álvaro Martins made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Eusébio Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Onia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Spartak Modelos's Gustavo Soares got a free kick in the 57th minute. 1-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Gustavo Soares elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Basílio Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Assis in the 65th minute of the match. Spartak Modelos's Basílio Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Baptista in the 78th minute of play. Onia FC's Catarino Lisboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Onia FC from getting a goal against them. Rafael Mäki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Catarino Lisboa made a huge save. Pedro Assis took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basílio Gomes. Basílio Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Spartak Modelos's Basílio Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Assis in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Onia FC had played much better football throughout.
