Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Spartak Modelos's Álvaro Martins started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Spartak Modelos's goalkeeper Basílio Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Álvaro Martins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Danilo Soares came out and tried to block the shot, but Álvaro Martins slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. The supporters of Outeirinho booed when Spartak Modelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Spartak Modelos's Santi Gibert got a free kick in the 29th minute. Moisés Campos's late challenge caught a Spartak Modelos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Campos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Spartak Modelos booed when Outeirinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Valério Campelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Palha in the 41st minute of play forced Spartak Modelos's goalkeeper Basílio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Nuno Palha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrício Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivo Brites recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Danilo Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Spartak Modelos's attentive Rafael Mäki managed to snatch the ball when Ivo Brites made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. If Bernardo Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Campos hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to Spartak Modelos getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Santi Gibert hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Gustavo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spartak Modelos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Spartak Modelos's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Campelo came free, but Basílio Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gustavo Soares came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Spartak Modelos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Soares couldn't finish the play. Danilo Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Soares in the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Soares was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The supporters of Spartak Modelos booed when Outeirinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Palha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Spartak Modelos players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
