The audience was convinced that Caio Pegado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Simões was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Gusmão Sacadura charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gusmão Sacadura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Pegado in the 7th minute of play forced Grilo's goalkeeper Armindo Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes, Daniel Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grilo and the F.C.Ronfe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Borges hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. F.C.Ronfe's Emanuel Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, F.C.Ronfe's Flávio Araújo tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caio Pegado in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Simões saved Grilo from getting behind. Ilídio Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Dias in the 17th minute. Ilídio Cabral acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Oliveira Borba. Daniel Borges was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Daniel Borges hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caio Pegado in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafael Dias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilídio Cabral having to make a save. The supporters of Grilo booed when F.C.Ronfe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Eduardo Branco in the 32nd minute really tested Ilídio Cabral's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 37 minutes into the game, Grilo's Rafael Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilídio Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Manuel Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grilo's protests and gave Manuel Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Ribeiro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Baptista in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Simões saved Grilo from getting behind. Caio Pegado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes, Delfim Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grilo and the F.C.Ronfe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grilo's Delfim Ferreira got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Baptista made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Grilo's zone, Caio Pegado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Simões came out of the goal and Caio Pegado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armindo Simões made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Caio Pegado sent off a good shot on target. Ilídio Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Dias in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Rafael Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grilo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C.Ronfe's Ilídio Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Dias in the 64th minute of play. Grilo's Rafael Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Dias took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilídio Cabral. Ilídio Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 77th minute Rafael Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilídio Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilídio Cabral came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Grilo's Rafael Dias. But to his dismay, Rafael Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Caio Pegado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emanuel Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Ribeiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of F.C.Ronfe booed when Grilo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emanuel Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caio Pegado took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Simões. Armindo Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Grilo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
