The Aredes FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Aredes FC's Sérgio Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. David Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Pacheco made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Alex Santiago sent off a good shot on target. Alex Santiago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Carlos Pacheco made a huge save. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Picada's goalkeeper Sebastião Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that David Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Ramalho was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Sebastião Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Coelho in the 24th minute of play. Sérgio Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sebastião Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Coelho scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Ramalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastião Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Fontes in the 34th minute of the match. If Sérgio Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Picada's Sebastião Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Coelho in the 37th minute of play. Máximo Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute of the match, Máximo Braga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Pacheco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Alex Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Picada players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aredes FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Máximo Braga made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Fontes got free with Sebastião Ramalho in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sérgio Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Ramalho was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and David Coelho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Coelho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. A hard shot 62 in the game by Sérgio Fontes from a close distance when the talented Sebastião Ramalho managed to make a qualified save. SC Picada's players were relieved. Alberto Santos's late challenge caught a SC Picada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Santos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aredes FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alberto Santos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Castro in the 69th minute of play forced Aredes FC's goalkeeper Carlos Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Aredes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Alex Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Carlos Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Máximo Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Pacheco having to interfere. Sebastião Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Sérgio Fontes sent off a good shot on target. After 80 played minutes SC Picada got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Castro. Sérgio Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Sebastião Ramalho made a huge save. In the 85th minute David Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Pacheco having to interfere. Sebastião Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Coelho in the 94th minute. The Aredes FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aredes FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
