Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute of the match Nuno Faria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but António Lages showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Lages having to interfere. A collision led to Clerigos getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gaspar Esteves hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Novais in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vítor Novais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Novais in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 17th minute of the match Henrique Salgueiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Ramos skillfully saved the ball. Clerigos's Alfredo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Novais in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Clerigos getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Manuel Delgado hit a great ball. If Pedro Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Meireles's late challenge caught a Clerigos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Alípio Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Pedro Silva made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Valdemar Sardinha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Lages came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Clerigos's Pedro Silva. But to his dismay, Pedro Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Clerigos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Vítor Novais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 73 minutes, Alípio Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Safara and the Clerigos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Safara's António Lages played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Silva in the 75th minute of play. António Lages took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saúl Araújo during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Safara's Saúl Araújo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Alípio Castro was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
