When Albertino Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Fuseiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Vieira couldn't finish the play. If Joaquim Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Madeira S.A.D.'s Valentim Pestana got a free kick in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Madeira S.A.D.'s Valentim Pestana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 43rd play minutes Joaquim Leite shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Abílio Fernandes and just under the crossbar into goal. Heitor Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Madeira S.A.D. were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Fuseiros's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valter Ponte took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Mateus Perdigão managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Flávio Osório blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Ramos having to make a save. Albertino Vieira scored 2-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abílio Fernandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Fuseiros players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Madeira S.A.D. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
