Eusébio Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertino Vieira's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Hugo Almeida hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Vasco Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mário Brito during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fuseiros's Mário Brito got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Eusébio Resende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Casaes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fuseiros the free kick. After 28 played minutes Casaes FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Resende. Eusébio Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Fuseiros's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Abreu came free, but Jacinto Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Ricardo Assis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fuseiros and the Casaes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joaquim Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Eusébio Andrade made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Albertino Vieira made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Fontes in the 52nd minute of play forced Fuseiros's goalkeeper Jacinto Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Leite hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Fuseiros's goalkeeper Jacinto Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasco Abreu. Vasco Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Ramos having to interfere. Albertino Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Eusébio Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Casaes FC defense, Albertino Vieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusébio Andrade. The Casaes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusébio Andrade should have stopped the shot. Vasco Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jacinto Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When José Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Casaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Fontes couldn't finish the play. José Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Fontes in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fuseiros's Mário Brito got a free kick in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertino Vieira in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusébio Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Vieira in the 97th minute of the match.
