Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Madeira S.A.D.'s goalkeeper Abílio Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasco Abreu. Cândido Cardoso's late challenge caught a Madeira S.A.D.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cândido Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Casaes FC's Cândido Cardoso got a free kick in the 4th minute. Eusébio Andrade came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Madeira S.A.D.'s Flávio Osório. But to his dismay, Flávio Osório quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 12 minutes of play Casaes FC's Cândido Cardoso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 13 played minutes Casaes FC got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Cardoso. After having played for 14 minutes, Valentim Pestana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madeira S.A.D.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentim Pestana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusébio Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentim Pestana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the match Madeira S.A.D. got a corner. Casaes FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valter Ponte ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Madeira S.A.D.'s Valter Ponte to fire away a dangerous shot which Eusébio Andrade despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Flávio Osório notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Casaes FC's Eusébio Andrade. Eusébio Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasco Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Abílio Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Madeira S.A.D.'s goalkeeper Abílio Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasco Abreu. In the 33rd minute Valentim Pestana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio Osório sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentim Pestana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Andrade having to interfere. Nuno Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Madeira S.A.D.'s Valentim Pestana got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Mateus Perdigão took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusébio Andrade. Eusébio Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Casaes FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Eusébio Gonçalves hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Ponte got free with Eusébio Andrade in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flávio Osório received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Eusébio Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abílio Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasco Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Casaes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Osório came free, but Eusébio Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Madeira S.A.D.'s goalkeeper Abílio Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Flávio Osório got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Vasco Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casaes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasco Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Madeira S.A.D. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Mateus Perdigão hit a great ball. José Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abílio Fernandes having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Madeira S.A.D. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
