Simão Amaral came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Outorela's Nuno Viegas. But to his dismay, Nuno Viegas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Nuno Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Outorela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Viegas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Viegas in the 17th minute of play forced SC Carragosela's goalkeeper Simão Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nuno Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Lopes having to interfere. Outorela's Joaquim Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Outorela from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Outorela's goal looked a bit too open when André Brito came free, but Joaquim Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes in the game, Daniel Nascimento dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Nuno Viegas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Amaral having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Viegas in the 45th minute of play forced SC Carragosela's goalkeeper Simão Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Viegas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Gabriel Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Viegas in the 55th minute of play forced SC Carragosela's goalkeeper Simão Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Viegas got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Simão Amaral handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, SC Carragosela's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Viegas came free, but Simão Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Daniel Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, SC Carragosela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Moura to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, SC Carragosela's Jorge Moura seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorge Moura the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Carragosela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorge Moura had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Carragosela! When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, Outorela's Eduardo Henriques got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Simão Amaral. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Lisboa during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, SC Carragosela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Henriques, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Outorela's zone, Daniel Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Lopes came out of the goal and Daniel Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Viegas in the 89th minute. Viriato Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Simão Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th match minute, SC Carragosela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute Nuno Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Outorela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
