Carlos Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimas Miguéis in the 10th minute. Patrício Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Coimbra in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Columbeira booed when SC Jungeiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimas Miguéis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Fernando Coimbra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrício Alcântara was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Patrício Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Coimbra in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Fernando Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrício Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimas Miguéis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Carlos Paiva made a huge save. SC Jungeiros's Patrício Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Coimbra in the 37th minute of play. Rodrigo Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Patrício Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Alcântara having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Dimas Miguéis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Joel Sá struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Carlos Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Jungeiros. Carlos Vasques's late challenge caught a SC Columbeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Vasques helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Vasques kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Carlos Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimas Miguéis's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Rodrigo Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrício Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 minutes of play, SC Jungeiros's Joel Sá made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Paiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, Dimas Miguéis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Paiva. SC Columbeira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimas Miguéis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Basílio Valverde kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, SC Columbeira's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Valverde came free, but Carlos Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrício Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Queirós in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the match, Rodrigo Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Patrício Alcântara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Dimas Miguéis sped through SC Columbeira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Paiva. If João Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Jungeiros's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
