Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fábio Ribeiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nivaldo Ribas during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gillette FC booed when Boucinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nivaldo Ribas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nivaldo Ribas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 played minutes Fábio Ribeiro rounded Boucinha FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Alípio Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boucinha FC's protests and gave Alípio Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boucinha FC! Fábio Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Filinto Valadão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filinto Valadão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nivaldo Ribas might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Sampaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nivaldo Ribas ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristiano Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Pinhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Ivan Pinhal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Sampaio. Gillette FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Pinhal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nivaldo Ribas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gillette FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jarbas Maciel in the 60th minute. When Nivaldo Ribas came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Boucinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nivaldo Ribas couldn't finish the play. Ivan Pinhal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Sampaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Ribeiro in the 70th minute of play forced Boucinha FC's goalkeeper Filinto Valadão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Noronha's late challenge caught a Boucinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Noronha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Sebastião Noronha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Boucinha FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alípio Soeiro hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Ribeiro in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filinto Valadão saved Boucinha FC from getting behind. Nivaldo Ribas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Cristiano Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 89th minute of the match Sebastião Noronha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sebastião Noronha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th match minute, Gillette FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Noronha to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gillette FC had won after a very even match.
