Gaspar Júdice didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Bernardo Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fábio Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Torres was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After the first half SC Eido were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

SC Argea's Diamantino Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Neves in the 57th minute of play. Diamantino Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fábio Neves's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 63rd match minute, SC Eido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Santos to maneuver through the defense. In the 72ndth minute of the game Daniel Veríssimo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Eido's Adelino Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Veríssimo in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Eido's goalkeeper Adelino Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Viriato Santos fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eido's protests and gave Viriato Santos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Argea booed when SC Eido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zacarias Semedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Daniel Veríssimo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Argea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Fábio Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Jacinto Guarda struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Diamantino Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Eido. If Fábio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded SC Eido left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Argea.
