Jacinto Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Sampaio having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Gillette FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Noronha. Jacinto Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Sampaio having to interfere. Cristiano Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Cristiano Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fábio Neves came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the SC Eido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Neves couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Neves in the 67th minute of play forced Gillette FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Jacinto Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Eido booed when Gillette FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Noronha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 79 minutes into the game, SC Eido's Fábio Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Sampaio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Cristiano Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Guarda in the 84th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Rúben Calçada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Caneira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gillette FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SC Eido had controlled the match.
