After 4 minutes of play, Porto de Ave B's Juliusz Galus made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Macena in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Juliusz Galus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porto de Ave B's supporters rose to their feet, but Juliusz Galus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Álvares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 27 minutes, Amadeu Macena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. arraiolense fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Macena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute Marcelo Fagundes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Álvares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juliusz Galus went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Cerqueira in the 45th minute of play forced Porto de Ave B's goalkeeper Inácio Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Porto de Ave B got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Brás. Inácio Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Macena in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Augusto Lauro made the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Branco's late challenge caught a arraiolense fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Branco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Julião Lessa made a precise shot to the right of Inácio Queirós. Porto de Ave B's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 78th minute André Cerqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Juliusz Galus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
