The referee ignored Pimenteiras FC's protests and gave Daniel Delgado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pimenteiras FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Daniel Delgado hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Cândido Barbosa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pimenteiras FC's Aprígio Henriques didn't even have to move. Aprígio Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A collision led to Pimenteiras FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. David Moutinho hit a great ball. Jorge Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Aprígio Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Delgado hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Cândido Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Pimenteiras FC's Miguel Vaz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Miguel Vaz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pimenteiras FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Miguel Vaz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Montouto a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cândido Barbosa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pimenteiras FC's Aprígio Henriques. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jorge Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montouto's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aprígio Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cândido Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Cândido Barbosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aprígio Henriques. Pimenteiras FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Montouto's Cândido Henriques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aprígio Henriques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Viriato Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montouto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viriato Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Pimenteiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Leal came free, but Aprígio Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pimenteiras FC's zone, Cândido Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aprígio Henriques came out of the goal and Cândido Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Pimenteiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Leal came free, but Aprígio Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aprígio Henriques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Leal went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cândido Henriques to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cândido Henriques dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aprígio Henriques, 0-3. 0-4 became the score in the 59th minute when Cândido Henriques elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. David Moutinho hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes Pimenteiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Delgado. Miguel Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Jorge Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Jorge Leal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aprígio Henriques. Pimenteiras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Leal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Aprígio Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Henriques in the 75th minute of play. Aprígio Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Henriques, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Virgílio Maciel charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgílio Maciel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pimenteiras FC's Virgílio Maciel got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 89th of the match, Cândido Henriques tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Aprígio Henriques got in the way and made a wonderful save. Aprígio Henriques made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jorge Leal sent off a good shot on target. Cândido Henriques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Aprígio Henriques made a huge save. Montouto played a much better game than Pimenteiras FC and deserved their victory. The Pimenteiras FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
