An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Neves in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Ortiga's goalkeeper Joaquim Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, SC Ortiga's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Monteiro came free, but Joaquim Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marco Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bruno Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th match minute, SC Ramires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Machado to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but João Coelho made a huge save. Joaquim Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Joaquim Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Neves in the 21st minute of play forced SC Ortiga's goalkeeper Joaquim Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Joaquim Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, SC Ramires's goalkeeper João Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Mendes. Domingos Azevedo's late challenge caught a SC Ortiga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes SC Ramires got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Azevedo. Duarte Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Almeida having to interfere. Marco Aleixo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, João Coelho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cláudio Monteiro made a kick off. João Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Aleixo's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Joaquim Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Duarte Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Brito in the 63rd minute of the match. When Marco Aleixo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the SC Ortiga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Aleixo couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Marco Aleixo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Coelho. SC Ramires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Aleixo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 72ndth minute of the game Marco Aleixo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Ramires's João Coelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Duarte Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ortiga's zone, Cláudio Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Almeida came out of the goal and Cláudio Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Ramires players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Ortiga.
