If José Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damião Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Cristiano Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferreira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damião Palma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. THE REVENANT's Damião Palma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Assunção in the 14th minute of play. Cristiano Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damião Palma having to interfere. If Belchior Prates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Bruno Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. THE REVENANT's goalkeeper couldn't reach when José Assunção 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. José Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Damião Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Tavares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Fontes having to make a save. Nuno Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belchior Prates in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ferreira FC's Luís Matias got a free kick in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when José Assunção made the kick off in the second half. Luís Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Ferreira FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Matias. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Prates in the 54th minute of play forced Ferreira FC's goalkeeper Nuno Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Belchior Prates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damião Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Tiago Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. THE REVENANT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferreira FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes THE REVENANT got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Pacheco. 71 minutes into the match, THE REVENANT's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Dantas came free, but Damião Palma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Assunção in the 72nd minute of play forced THE REVENANT's goalkeeper Damião Palma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Cristiano Dantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damião Palma. THE REVENANT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Dantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 80th minute, Luís Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belchior Prates was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. THE REVENANT's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 83rd minute Inácio Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferreira FC's Luís Matias got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Luís Matias off the ground. After 84 played minutes Ferreira FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Matias. In the 85th minute of the match Osvaldo Jordão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Fontes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, one of Ferreira FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ferreira FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Tavares got free with Nuno Fontes in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
