Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hilário Tinoco started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Guerreiro in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saúl Moreira saved SC Senra from getting behind. João Leal might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saúl Moreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Leal ran back to his position shaking his head. Celso Caeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Caeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mesas booed when SC Senra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Caeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When David Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Mesas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. João Leal took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saúl Moreira. Saúl Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 21st minute, João Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hilário Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saúl Moreira having to interfere. The audience was convinced that David Guerreiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saúl Moreira was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Mateus Noronha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Mesas defense, Homero Carmona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Amaral. The Mesas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Amaral should have stopped the shot.

After 55 minutes, João Pereira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Senra and the Mesas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Senra's João Pereira got a free kick in the 55th minute. SC Senra's Saúl Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Leal in the 70th minute of play. João Leal struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Saúl Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesas. In the 79th minute of the match Henrique Freitas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saúl Moreira skillfully saved the ball. David Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Saúl Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when João Leal in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Hilário Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
