In the 24th minute Marcos Águas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermes Vilalobos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gaspar Aragão. Teodoro Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Águas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato Quintas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hermes Vilalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Lustosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermes Vilalobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. If Elias Lustosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Renato Quintas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermes Vilalobos was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Hermes Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Quintas in the 55th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Baceiros FC's Teodoro Sarmento threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcos Águas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, F.C.Magic's Teodoro Sarmento got control of the ball when Henrique Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Linhares got free with Teodoro Sarmento in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute Marcos Águas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C.Magic's Elias Lustosa got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Hermes Vilalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Quintas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Lustosa struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Hermes Vilalobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.Magic. When Augusto Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baceiros FC's protests and gave Augusto Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of F.C.Magic booed when Baceiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrique Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Marcos Águas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Lustosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermes Vilalobos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elias Lustosa ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cândido Meira during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, F.C.Magic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Meira to maneuver through the defense. Isac Paixão charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isac Paixão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vítor Macedo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Almiro Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C.Magic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baceiros FC the free kick. A collision led to F.C.Magic getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Almiro Pinho hit a great ball. If Henrique Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
