Anabolik Monkeys United's Hilário Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Ribeiro in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pastor's zone, Hamilton Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Torres came out of the goal and Hamilton Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Jesualdo Figueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Anabolik Monkeys United's Daniel Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 16 played minutes SC Pastor got a freekick which was hit by André Anjos. In the 29th minute Luís Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilário Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Simões in the 42nd minute of play forced Anabolik Monkeys United's goalkeeper Hilário Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilário Valadares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Simões's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Hilário Valadares didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
