Afonso Santarém shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Ronaldo Trindade fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvaredos's protests and gave Ronaldo Trindade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Alvaredos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Trindade to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Estoris booed when Alvaredos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Afonso Santarém in the 19th minute really tested Abel Garcia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Basílio Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Estoris's Basílio Macedo got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tiago Barcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Heitor Fontes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abel Garcia, passed just outside the right post. Humberto Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Heitor Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Barcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Viana to strike the kick off in the second half. If Vivaldo Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Abel Garcia came out of the goal and Heitor Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Heitor Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Abel Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estoris were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alvaredos for a fine match.
