Daniel Karlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Emanuel Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Alves having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Emanuel Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaz F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Joel Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Gustavo Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Karlsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vaz F.C.'s Daniel Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gonçalves in the 53rd minute of play.
