Triana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15th minute, Marco Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Pires in the 22nd minute of play. Pedro Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alexandre Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Triana got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Soares. After having played for 47 minutes, Gustavo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Matias was the one to do the kick off. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
