André Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Menezes having to interfere. Gaspar Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachao FC's goalkeeper Jaime Pacheco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cachao FC's Vítor Rodrigues got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Nélson Ruas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes, Gaspar Mota made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Rouqueira's Lázaro Menezes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaspar Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Menezes having to interfere. Nélson Ruas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Pacheco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Julião Cavaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Pacheco having to interfere. Jaime Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nélson Ruas in the 37th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Severiano Machado took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jaime Pacheco to make any attempt to save it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nélson Ruas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Cachao FC booed when SC Rouqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudemiro Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lázaro Menezes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Mota in the 61st minute of play. André Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Cachao FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Vítor Rodrigues hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Nélson Ruas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lázaro Menezes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Mota in the 78th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, SC Rouqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Mota came free, but Lázaro Menezes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 87 in the game by André Barros from a close distance when the talented Lázaro Menezes managed to make a qualified save. SC Rouqueira's players were relieved. Lázaro Menezes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
