The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Jacinto Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 12 minutes on the clock, Isidro Gama commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Águias do Além fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 14 minutes, SC Reguengo's Xavier Leal got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jordão Vargas. Mariano Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jordão Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Rafael Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jordão Vargas. Águias do Além's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Rafael Andrade was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. SC Reguengo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 31 minutes, Jairo Teves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Águias do Além and the SC Reguengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Águias do Além got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Teves. After recieving a nice pass, SC Reguengo's Xavier Leal tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rafael Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jordão Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Teves kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Águias do Além got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Teves. Jordão Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Andrade in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Lisandro Câmara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Águias do Além's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Câmara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 45 played minutes SC Reguengo got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Leal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasco Viana during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Águias do Além's Jordão Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Aguiar in the 54th minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Rafael Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Águias do Além's Jordão Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jairo Teves hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Mariano Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Reguengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
