Jordão Saraiva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Pedro Rijo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristiano Serpa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, SC Oleiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Brochado to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Infante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Serpa was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, SC Oleiros's Cristiano Serpa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jordão Vargas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristiano Serpa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jordão Vargas. That made the score 1-1 in the 81 minute of play. In the 88th minute Cristóvão Estrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão Estrada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Pedroso was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Cristóvão Estrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute.
