He walked away shaking his head. Filipe Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Paredes in the 7th minute of play. Alberto Machado struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bolelo. In the 20thth minute of the game Alberto Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Cerejeira's Pedro Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Paredes in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Bolelo's goalkeeper Filipe Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Cerejeira were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after SC Bolelo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mário Luz took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Jaime Ribeiro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Sérgio Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cerejeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alberto Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Ribeiro's late challenge caught a SC Bolelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Jaime Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Alberto Machado came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the SC Bolelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Machado couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Cerejeira booed when SC Bolelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sérgio Paredes to strike the kick off in the second half. SC Cerejeira's Pedro Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save SC Cerejeira from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the game, Ricardo Pinheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Filipe Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 played minutes SC Bolelo got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Castro. Sérgio Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Filipe Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
