Jerónimo Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes S. Domingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Rijo. Romão Carreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Teles having to interfere. Amado Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hildeberto Carvalhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Romão Carreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amado Teles. SC Seirraos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romão Carreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 21st minute, Romão Carreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hildeberto Carvalhal in the 27th minute of play forced SC Seirraos's goalkeeper Amado Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Romão Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márcio Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Marco Lemos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabino Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Lemos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Romão Carreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romão Carreira took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amado Teles. Amado Teles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The SC Seirraos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S. Domingos FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márcio Quadros to make the kick off. Inácio Jesus hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hildeberto Carvalhal got free with Amado Teles in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Micael Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of S. Domingos FC booed when SC Seirraos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66thth minute of the game Sabino Resende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S. Domingos FC's Marco Lemos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th play minute Hildeberto Carvalhal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amado Teles. 0-3. After a rather tough play, S. Domingos FC's Caetano Rijo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. SC Seirraos's Márcio Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingos FC's Hildeberto Carvalhal got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerónimo Cordeiro's late challenge caught a S. Domingos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerónimo Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, SC Seirraos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerónimo Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Hildeberto Carvalhal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Amado Teles, passed just outside the right post. S. Domingos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
