A collision led to SC Roem getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Américo Brochado hit a great ball. Frederico Ribas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Barata having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Frederico Ribas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Frederico Ribas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Arentim booed when SC Roem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Brochado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored SC Roem's protests and gave Mateus Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes SC Roem got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Vargas. SC Roem's Sérgio Barata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Miranda in the 26th minute of play. Frederico Ribas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Barata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivo Galvão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gastão Azenha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Ribas in the 70th minute of play forced SC Roem's goalkeeper Sérgio Barata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes SC Roem got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Vargas. 72 minutes into the game, André Miranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sérgio Barata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the SC Roem defense, André Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Barata. The SC Roem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Barata should have stopped the shot. Sérgio Barata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Ribas in the 81st minute of the match. Sérgio Barata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Ribas in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, André Miranda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Barata. SC Roem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Miranda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 93 minutes into the game, SC Roem's Domingos Cordeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gastão Azenha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. 97 minutes into the match, Américo Brochado notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Arentim's Gastão Azenha. Gastão Azenha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arentim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
