Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eusébio Porto got the match started through his kick off. David Estevess short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Duarte Martins to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Duarte Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Esteves went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. SC Aveiro's David Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute Eusébio Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Porto might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Martins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusébio Porto ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Fernando Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goais's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Ferro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Cruz's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Fernando Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raul Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Martins made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when David Esteves sent off a good shot on target. Rogério Costa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusébio Porto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Duarte Martins. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, SC Aveiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Ferro came free, but Luís Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Duarte Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fernando Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Lima having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, SC Aveiro's goalkeeper Luís Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Cruz. Raul Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Luís Lima made a huge save. Luís Lima was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Raul Cruz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raul Cruz really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Ribeiro during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 73 minutes into the match, SC Aveiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Ferro came free, but Luís Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Goais's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Porto came free, but Duarte Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Porto in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Raul Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Aveiro's Luís Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Ferro in the 91st minute of play. Goais:s Duarte Martins showed great skill when he stopped Bernardo Tavares:s penalty. In the 98th minute SC Aveiro were awarded a corner. Bernardo Tavares went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led SC Aveiro's Bernardo Tavares to fire away a dangerous shot which Duarte Martins despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Aveiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Goais had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
