Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eusébio Porto started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, SC Especiosa's Palmiro Câmara got a free kick in the 4th minute. David Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If David Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Esteves scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Flores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fábio Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes SC Aveiro got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Santos. David Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Porto in the 27th minute of play forced SC Especiosa's goalkeeper Manuel Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, SC Especiosa's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Porto came free, but Manuel Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Valido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Luís Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Vítor Lessa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Especiosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Aveiro the free kick. SC Aveiro's Eusébio Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Lessa hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If David Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Especiosa booed when SC Aveiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Palmiro Salazar to strike the kick off in the second half. If Severiano Valido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Esteves might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Flores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Esteves ran back to his position shaking his head. Vítor Lessa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Eusébio Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fábio Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Flores having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Afonso Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Santos was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Fábio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Luís Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Salazar in the 70th minute of play. SC Aveiro's Eusébio Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Flores having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Especiosa's Manuel Flores got control of the ball when David Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, David Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Aveiro's supporters rose to their feet, but David Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When David Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SC Aveiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Esteves couldn't finish the play. After 83 played minutes SC Aveiro got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Porto. In the 86th minute of the match SC Especiosa got a corner. SC Aveiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Altino Padilha ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Altino Padilha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Lima quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. SC Aveiro's Luís Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Palmiro Salazar in the 92nd minute of play. Palmiro Salazar struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Luís Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Especiosa. When the final whistle sounded SC Aveiro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Especiosa.
